The workout tonight at Crossfit group class - just brutal. It ended with me lying gasping on the floor, sweat almost pooling in my eyes, pouring off me.
I love it. I was surprised and impressed with my recovery time from this beast - a half-hour later, feeling fresh again. The hike home up Staff Hill felt about the usual level of effort.
Warmup: squats, pushups, v-ups. All x10, 3 rounds
Metcon/skills development: KB swings, ladder agility drills, dumbbell cleans/snatches. x10, 5 rounds
Workout: partner's pace, 4 stations:
1) 25#Db thrusters
2) 24kgKB sumo deadlift high pull
3) burpees
4) rest
5 rounds, for time.
I completely forgot to find out my time afterwords. Too preoccupied with wonder at the experience of being so completely thrashed from the workout. Intensity is always intense; I never tire of that feeling.
